Undergraduate Participant Information
一道本不卡免费高清It is important to keep in mind that this is a special day for ALL involved in Commencement. Screaming and shouting for one Graduate means that the family of another might not hear the name of their special person.
Graduates and guests are expected to dress and act appropriately, and ALL in attendance are expected to remain for the entire ceremony.
Please advise your family and guests that most of the venue will be open seating. No family/guest seats are assigned and no one will be allowed to hold seats. Please ask your family and guests to follow the directions of Mount Saint Mary's and venue staff when looking for a seat. It is advisable to select an area away from the venue's main entryways to meet your family following the ceremony, as over 6,000 people will be exiting the venue at the same time.
We are excited to offer electronic ticketing for graduates and their guests! Every graduate will receive 10 tickets for guests* and 1 ticket for her/himself during the Commencement Ticket Distribution Period. If you do not reserve your tickets during this window, you will not be eligible for all 11 guest tickets. Reserving your tickets on Marching Order does not guarantee all of your tickets if you reserve them after Wednesday, April 24, 2019. 一道本不卡免费高清All graduates who are cleared to participate in Commencement ceremonies will receive an email with instructions on how to reserve your tickets. Reservations will start Monday, April 1, 2019. You must follow the instructions in the email PRIOR to reserving your tickets.
In addition to registering for your tickets, we are also allowing graduates to complete the Graduation Survey online at the same time! To show how much we value your input, when you finish the survey, you will be entered into a drawing for $50 Amazon gift cards!
*A guest is considered any person over 2 years old. Babies less than two years old will need to be seated on an adult's lap. No strollers will be allowed into the Church.

Cap and Gown, Regalia
All graduates must wear MSMU graduation gown, cap, and hood. If you have not ordered your regalia, visit the campus bookstores in person or on the phone by calling 310.954.4322 for Chalon or 213.477.2760 for Doheny. Sizes are limited, so order soon. Please see the "Commencement Regalia" section for more information on appropriate Commencement attire.

Diploma and Participation
一道本不卡免费高清Official diplomas will be mailed to the graduates:
- Fall graduates – March 1st
- Spring graduates – August 1st
- Summer graduates – November 1st
Please be sure that the Registrar's Office has your current mailing address. Students with an outstanding debt to the university will not receive their transcripts or diploma until their account is paid in full.
Assembly of Graduates
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU LINE UP ON TIME AS THERE WILL BE NO REHEARSAL!
Graduates are asked to arrive at the entrance for graduating students to West Hall B beginning at 1:30 PM in order to be processed in, fill out graduation information, and assemble in the line-up area according to the appropriate major. Arriving later than 2:45 p.m. may prevent you from processing in with your class!
Graduates are to present their ticket at that entrance. ONLY Graduates will be allowed in this area.
DO NOT bring purses, backpacks, or other items to carry to the line-up area. You will process into the venue from this area and will NOT have the opportunity to hand off any items to your family. Graduates will NOT return to the line-up area. Do not leave anything there.
Graduates should come dressed properly for Commencement (cap, gown, and hood). Please follow the directions of the Mount Saint Mary's staff in regards to proper line-up procedures. Do not wear anything except the approved commencement attire or you will not be able to cross the stage.

Graduating students may wear cords, stoles, sashes, medallions and pins signifying academic honors and achievements at MSMU. They may also wear appropriate expressions of their heritage or other cultural affinities. Corsages and floral embellishments may not be worn on the regalia or cap, nor may the regalia or cap be altered or modified in any way.

Within 72 hours of Commencement, graduates will receive a complimentary passport-sized digital proof of this photo on an order card. After the ceremony, you may order online at or by calling 800.261.2576.
Since photographs will be available, family members and guests are encouraged to remain in their seats, relax and enjoy the ceremony.

Class Rings, Announcements, Cap and Gown Ordering
Mount Saint Mary’s University graduates wear black graduation gowns with black caps and an academic hood during the Commencement Ceremony. Announcements, class rings, and cap and gown sets are ordered through Jostens. Cap and Gown orders will be placed through the Mount Saint Mary's Bookstore. Be sure to include your type of degree (BA, BS, MA, MS, etc.) on the ordering form, so the proper hood is ordered. If you are unsure as to what type of degree you are receiving, please check with your departmental head or academic dean.
